Showing Australia the value of recycled content

Supporting Australia's transition toward a circular economy, ReMade in Australia is set to be a sustainability certification for eligible products and projects made with recycled content.

About us

The ReMade in Australia program will certify and promote products and construction projects made in Australia with recycled materials, helping consumers and businesses to identify, choose and build demand for recycled content as part of a circular economy.

The program has been informed by consultation with the private sector and led by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). It is part of a wider strategy to support Australia’s transition to a circular economy by 2030.

Showcasing your commitment to sustainability

Certify your products and projects

Businesses that are certified under the program will display the ReMade in Australia label demonstrating their commitment to sustainability.

The label shows that products and projects have met the ReMade in Australia certification rules. These rules will be available soon.

Towards a circular economy

A circular economy prioritises: waste avoidance, reuse, repurposing, recycling and remanufacturing. Shifting to a circular model reduces waste and minimises the impact on our environment.

Recycling is a key component, helping to close the loop on materials by reprocessing and returning them to production.
